WIENER SK-ROMA 1-4: positive test for Iturbe!

Garcia’s guys approached really well at this friendly match in Vienna. Wiener SK seemed to be a good team able to properly challenge Roma.

During the first half we saw a great performance of Gervinho, Iturbe and Morgan De Sanctis. The winger of Ivory Coast seemed to be already ready for the season. His acceleration were just incredible! He played in various positions of the forward line and he constantly challenged every defender in front of him. He confirmed to be a great runner but also an incredible resource for Garcia. Iturbe seemed to be in good physical condition. The Argentine winger demonstrated his skills, power and speed in every side of the forward line. He created a few dangerous opportunity and served great assist for Gervinho and Borriello. Undoubtedly, the duo Gervinho-Iturbe are already showing their great potential. The two Roma wingers are perfect for Garcia’s 4-3-3 in which the players on the two sides of the forward line are key players to develop the counter attacks and to give creativity at the offensive line. A mention goes to Morgan De Sanctis as well because a couple of times he saved Roma. He demonstrated a good reactivity and mental status. Also if this was his first match since his surgery we can say that he directed very well Roma’s defense line.

The second half began like the first part of the match. Roma managed the ball really well and Adem Ljajic delighted the audience with great dribbles and assist. Miralem Pjanic did the same thing but he also scored a fantastic goal that left the opponent goalkeeper motionless. During the end of the match Iturbe has yet created many dangers for the opponent defense line and he also missed a couple of goals. However, the demoniac Argentine winger had obtained a penalty that he then realized without problems. Two minutes before the end of the match Ljajic dribbled a few players and he scored a nice goal.

Positive test for Garcia’s guys especially if we evaluate it by checking Iturbe’s physical condition that seemed to be much improved.
