Vieira: “Tavecchio’s election is a shame for Italy”

Patrick Vieira, former Inter star, was very disappointed about the recent election of Carlo Tavecchio as president of the FIGC. Through his Twitter account he stated:

It really difficult to believe that Carlo Tavecchio, after the sentences he pronounced, was elected to the presidency of the FIGC, the football authorities that will represent Italy. This shows how far they are in fighting against racism. It a shame. If an Englishman had done the same thing, at the political level he would have been immediately put at the corner.”
