Eltendorf-Roma 0-5: Gervinho is ready to begin the season!

The friendly match between Eltendorf and Roma ended 0-5 and Roma’s players demonstrated to have the legs heavy due to the hard work loads to which they are subjected on a daily basis. Garcia’s guys tried to calmly keep the possession of the ball without pushing on the accelerator. Many players seemed to be really far away from the right physical condition while three of them amazed the crowd with their freshness and quality. The first positive mention is for the great captain, Francesco Totti, who served fantastic filtering assist to practically every teammates. His physical condition is already good and his mind is still working like when he was 20 years old. The second positive mention goes to Gervinho due to his devastating accelerations. He always played on the enemy defense line and he repeatedly created dangers starting from the two sides of the pitch and scoring the first goal of the match. The third mention goes to Alessandro Florenzi that played an incredible match due to his ability to properly cover the entire side of the pitch acting as fullback and winger at the same time.

Negative performance that of Ashley Cole who is definitely suffering the heavy work loads and seemed to be very distracted and not very comfortable with Garcia’s tactic.

A different chapter is for Francesco Totti’s goal. The match should be stopped at the 77th min when Roma’s legend decided to make a sensational lob from inside the penalty area and scored an amazing goal!
