Bad Waltersdorf: De Sanctis-press conference

De Sanctis

Morgan De Sanctis, AS Roma’s goalkeeper, has held today’s press conference in which he spoke about the election of the new president of the FIGC and various other topics…Benatia included. Below his most important thoughts…

Huge responsibilities this season…

It is a pleasure to take this responsibility. We must express an important collective effort. So far, as you have said, the club did a great job.”

Italian football system and Benatia…

Italian football is going through a time of export. We must do our work well on the field. In reference to Benatia I can say that he is behaving like a perfect professional. He is an important point of reference and it is true that would be bad to lose him, but there are situations that require sacrifices and these sacrifices are not always negative.”

About Tavecchio…

“My idea is that Albertini could have been the ideal solution. We must hope that Tavecchio can bring that needed change to the Italian football. I hope he can have a burst of pride to do his job well.

Scudetto?

“We have important players ready to win. The club is working well and the supporters can be happy. Roma will have a great future in which they will be always competitive. It would be desirable to not find another team able to collect more than 100 points.

AS Roma in the Italian football…

“The club is doing something very positive. I hope that Italy is not an obstacle to this. I very much hope that our football system realizes that Roma are a great opportunity and an example to improve the Italian football.

About your physical condition…

“It is good. I had no problems with the rehabilitation and I feel 100% available for Garcia.

About Juventus…

“Juventus are still the strongest team because they didn’t change a lot. They collected 102 points but they did not perform well in the Champions League. I know many of their players and at the end of the day they are the ones on the pitch. However, it’s difficult to re-collect 102 points but the pitch will decide. We will do everything is possible to win.”
