Benatia’s saga is taking action…we all know that, right? Following Pjanic’s recent renewal of his contract AS Roma’s management was well aware that Benatia’s manager would knock at the door of the sporting director, Walter Sabatini. However the public interview released by the player was unexpected and annoyed the president, James Pallotta, and his collaborators.
Yesterday, Benatia’s manager, Moussa Sissoko, tried to lower the tone of the debate saying that the player does not have intention to leave the club and his words were just misinterpreted. However yesterday the same player pointed out that he is very disappointed by AS Roma‘s offer that he considers to be ridiculous.
At this stage, Benatia may leave the team but only if his manager brings to Sabatini’s office an official offer of around 40 million euros. Manchester City is very interested in the player and this may not even be a problem for the team but positive news. Firstly because of the unlimited economic potential of the Manchester City’s owner. Secondly, because of the possibility of an auction between the team of Manchester and other world super powers such as Barcelona and Bayern Munchen which are very interested to the player as well. Thirdly because AS Roma could include in the deal a player that it likes so much…Aleksandar Kolarov.
